Event details: title, description, and format

The details you add to your event page are what convince the right people to show up. Here’s how to make them count.

Title

Your event title should be clear and specific. A good title tells someone exactly what they’re walking into and who it’s for. Avoid vague titles like “Networking Night” in favour of something that speaks to the outcome or audience, such as “Finance & Fintech Connect: Brisbane” or “Digital Marketing Workshop for In-House Teams”.

Subtitle

The subtitle sits just below your title on the event page and gives you a bit more room to add context. Use it to expand on what the event covers or to highlight a key detail that didn’t fit in the title.

Content Body

The content body is the main description on your event page. Cover the essentials: what the event is about, who it’s designed for, what attendees will take away and anything else worth knowing before registering. Clear and direct works better than long and vague.

Event format

When setting up your event you’ll choose from three formats:

  • In person: attendees come to a physical venue. You’ll add the address during the Time & Location step.
  • Online: the event runs virtually. You’ll provide access details for attendees.
  • Hybrid: a combination of both in person and online attendance.

Your format is displayed on the event page so attendees know what to expect before registering.

Cover photo

Upload a cover photo that reflects the tone and topic of your event. You can upload up to 10 images and select one as the main cover. A clear, relevant image makes your event stand out in the discover feed.
