What is a community on Ralley

Communities are a way to bring together a group of people around a shared professional interest, industry or organisation. Here’s what they are and how they work on Ralley.

What a community is

A community on Ralley is a dedicated space where members can connect, stay informed and engage around a common focus. Think of it as a home base for a professional group, whether that’s an industry network, a company team or a recurring event series.

What you can do with a community

As a community organiser you can build a membership base, post updates and host events that are visible to your members. Members can follow the community to stay across what’s happening and get notified of new activity.

Who can create a community

Creating a community requires a Standard or Premium subscription plan. If you’re on the Free plan, head to Plans in your account menu to upgrade.

Communities and events

Communities and events work alongside each other on Ralley. Events can be associated with a community, but only organisers with the appropriate permissions can create events on behalf of a community. This makes it easy to build a consistent audience across multiple events over time.

Finding communities

Communities are discoverable on Ralley based on industry and location, the same way events are. Users can follow a community to stay connected without needing to register for a specific event.
