Refunds and cancellations

Here’s how refunds and cancellations work on Ralley for both organisers and attendees.

Organiser responsibilities

Refunds for paid tickets are the responsibility of the organiser. When you create a paid event on Ralley, you are required to display a clear, accessible refund policy on your event page. If you don’t provide one, Ralley’s default Organiser Refund Policy applies automatically.

You may operate a “No Refund” policy, but it must still comply with the minimum refund conditions below and be clearly stated on your event page. Refund requests from attendees must receive a first response within 5 business days.

When a full refund is required

Regardless of your stated refund policy, you are required to issue a full refund to attendees in the following situations:

  • The event is cancelled or not fully performed
  • The event is postponed and not rescheduled within 90 days
  • An attendee is removed from the event before it takes place, unless due to a breach of the platform’s Terms of Use
  • An attendee is denied entry due to an organiser error, including overselling or access failures
  • The event differs significantly from its published description, at Ralley’s sole discretion

Ralley fees are non-refundable

Ralley Fees, including Subscription and Ticketing Fees, are non-refundable in all circumstances, even when a full ticket refund is issued. Organisers are responsible for covering the full refunded ticket amount. Attendees are entitled to receive the full amount they paid for the ticket unless the event’s refund policy explicitly states otherwise.

How to process a refund

Refunds must be processed promptly via the payment method used at the time of purchase. If you need assistance processing a refund, contact Ralley support.

If Ralley steps in

In certain situations, such as evidence of fraud, repeated failure to respond to refund requests, or legal or reputational risk, Ralley may at its discretion initiate refunds on behalf of organisers and recover costs from organiser proceeds or via invoice. Organisers remain financially responsible for all refunds unless Ralley explicitly elects to cover the costs. For full details read the Organiser Refund Policy.

Cancelling your event

If you need to cancel your event, open the event page and select the cancellation option from the ellipsis menu. All registered attendees will be notified automatically by email and you are required to issue full refunds for any paid tickets.
