Setting up ticketing for your event
Ralley gives you flexible ticketing options whether your event is free or paid. Here’s how to get it set up.
Where to set up ticketing
Ticketing is configured during the Tickets step of the event creation flow. You can also update your ticket settings after publishing by opening the event page and selecting Edit from the ellipsis menu.
Creating ticket types
You can create multiple ticket categories for a single event, for example Standard, Early Bird or VIP. Each ticket type can have its own name, price and capacity limit. This gives you the flexibility to offer different pricing tiers or a mix of free and paid options within the same event.
Free tickets
To offer free tickets, set the ticket price to zero. Free tickets still go through the same registration flow so you have a record of who has signed up.
Paid tickets
For paid tickets, set your price per ticket. Ralley applies a service charge of 4.5% per ticket on top of the ticket price, which is displayed to attendees at checkout before they complete their purchase.
Setting a ticket limit
You can set a capacity limit for each ticket type. Once a ticket type sells out, it will no longer be available for purchase. If you want to limit overall event capacity, set limits across your ticket types accordingly.
Booking deadline
Set a booking deadline to specify when ticket sales close. After this date and time, attendees will no longer be able to register. This is useful for events that require preparation based on final numbers.
A few things worth knowing
You need to be on a Standard or Premium plan to create events and set up ticketing. Payment processing is handled securely through Stripe. Ralley does not store or process card details directly.
