Communicating with attendees
Keeping your attendees informed is a big part of running a professional event. Here’s how Ralley helps you stay in touch.
The Board
The Board tab on your event page is the primary place to communicate with registered attendees. Use it to post updates, share reminders, answer common questions or flag anything worth knowing before the day. Attendees can also post here, so it’s a two-way space rather than just a broadcast channel.
New activity on the Board is indicated with a count on the tab so you can keep an eye on things without having to check in constantly.
Automated email notifications
Ralley automatically sends emails to registered attendees when certain things change. These include:
- Date or time updates
- Location changes
- Format changes, such as switching from in person to online
- Event cancellation
These go out immediately when a change is made, so attendees are never caught off guard by something you’ve updated.
Inviting people
If you want to bring specific people to your event, use the Invite button on the event page to reach out to them directly. This is a good way to personally extend the invite to connections or community members who would get a lot out of it.
A few things worth knowing
Ralley handles attendee notifications automatically for key changes, but the Board is your tool for everything in between. Keeping it active in the lead up to the event helps build anticipation and gives attendees a place to ask questions before the day.
